Finch Watch Privacy Policy

Finch Watch is a personal tool used by one person to watch one Gmail mailbox (finchassistant@gmail.com) and file incoming mail. It is not offered as a public service and has no other users.

What data is accessed

Through the Gmail API, Finch Watch accesses Gmail message metadata and content for the single mailbox above, and uses Google Cloud Pub/Sub to receive push notifications when new mail arrives. This access is used only to file incoming mail into labels and archive messages once they have been processed.

How data is used and shared

Mail data is used only for the filing described above. It is not sold, not shared with any third party, and not used for advertising. No data is sent anywhere except to Google's own Gmail and Pub/Sub services, which are the mechanism that delivers the notifications, and to the owner's own infrastructure where the tool runs.

Data storage

Access tokens are stored only on the owner's own infrastructure. Mail itself stays in the Gmail mailbox; Finch Watch does not keep a separate copy of message content.
